Kelly Marshall has a set of strict rules for her life, key of which is not allowing anything to come between her and her professional dreams. That means there’s no room in her life for love, but when her friend talks her into going to a trendy Manhattan bar, Kelly comes face to face with the only man who could break all her rules.

Mark isn’t looking for anything more than spending a hot night with delicious bedmate Kelly, but after a tempting night of lovemaking, he realizes that Kelly has the potential to be “the one”. When she runs out on him without saying goodbye, he fears he’ll never see her again. When they do meet again, Kelly’s fears will have no place in Mark’s permanent plans of a love connection.

Hurt So Good is an appealing read that pulled me in from page one. I had no idea how much I would really enjoy reading this book. Ms. Jones has infused an amusing tone to this novel, even though the plot line is more of a tug of war between the standoffish Kelly and the sure-of-himself Mark. Mark won’t take no for an answer and isn’t willing to allow Kelly’s fear of relationships to deter him. I love his drive, not to mention his animal magnetism. Kelly seems very vulnerable and has difficultly offering her spirit to potential heartbreak. She is obstinate and unwilling to give any man a chance, but with Mark’s determination, she has no choice. I loved this play between the characters, as well as the hot lust infused into their connection. These are passionate and wild love scenes, making the bond between Mark and Kelly seem fiery and fierce at times. Ms. Jones has created yet another novel that hit my romance meter and left me aching for more.

Review:
What could happen when two former lovers reunite for a night of passion? Should you follow your own heart, or let others lead you? Is it possible that one night could change their lives forever? Lisa Renee Jones, author of several contemporary, suspense and fantasy novels, has presented this situation in her new book, Addicted.
In one week, Samantha Reynolds will marry David Alcoid. He is everything a man is supposed to be to a woman: dependable, handsome, and a good businessperson. David is her father's protégé, working for the family law firm. Everything is great but she wants more. At her bachelorette party, Samantha runs into former sweetheart Eric Fletcher and the sparks fly as soon as he touches her.
Three years ago, Eric left town because he was tired of trying to live up to Samantha's father's expectations. However, Eric comes back a successful businessman to claim Samantha for his own. He should have come back for her a long time ago. Is it too late to reclaim what they once shared?
Lisa Renee Jones has written a believable plot that could be from real life. This story makes you wonder how you would deal with the situation Samantha finds herself in. Ms. Jones creates characters with strong feelings that burn deep and a relentless sexual attraction toward each other that never dies. Ms. Jones balances her characters between the dark and the light, to find a pace that keeps you turning the pages until the end. Addicted is a fast-paced story that left me wanting more. You do not want to miss this one. So settle down in your favorite reading spot and get ready for a wonderful story that will be sure to go on your keeper shelf.
